About Us
Winmar Corporation has been
developing and managing Lexington's preferred
commercial real estate since 1964. The
company was founded in 1951 by O. A. Bakhaus and
has continued in family ownership up to the
present. The family takes great pride in
the development of two of Lexington's most
attractive office buildings.

The Bakhaus Building was
designed by Lexington's removed architect Hugh
Merriweather, and is replete with the detail
work of fine southern architecture. The
Tate Building was designed by Albert and Brown
Architects, known for their design of many of
Lexington's landmark properties. These
buildings are handsome, inside and out, and they
house a combined 90,000 square feet of practical
and efficient office spaces look as good as the
day they were built.
